Training with air defence missile systems
Professional members of the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade battalions armed with “Neva” and “Kub” missile systems are undergoing collective training in the execution of combat missions in accordance with the purpose of these units.
This is a new training cycle following a successful execution of live fire drills against aerial targets, which were conducted at the Shabla range, the Republic of Bulgaria, in June. The goal is to make sure that professional members maintain a high level of competence to engage with permanently deployed forces responsible for the control and protection of the airspace of the Republic of Serbia and to conduct defensive anti-aircraft operations.
In this training phase, the personnel is practicing standardized tactical procedures for taking up the firing position and switching missile systems to the combat-ready mode in line with the defined standards, and inspecting the materiel’s combat readiness. The emphasis is on providing officers and professional soldiers assigned to the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade battalions with practical training.
By conducting continual training, the 250th Missile Brigade makes sure that each combat crew member is competent, that their teamwork is effective and that their response is swift, which is of critical importance for the execution of complex tasks such as the air defence of the territory and SAF troops.
