Soldier training for NCO roles in SAF
The 36th Leadership Course, which is attended by selected professional soldiers from all units of the Serbian Armed Forces, is underway at the “Sergeant Milunka Savić” NCO Training Centre in Pančevo.
This is the first level of soldier training for NCO roles in the Serbian Armed Forces, lasting six weeks, and aims to train soldiers to command a group, crew or team efficiently and carry out tasks within the competence of a deputy squad leader.
The Leadership Course includes theory and practical lessons in several areas, such as leadership, military regulations, military topography, close-order drills, tactical, firearms and physical training, which the participants must master in order to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to perform initial NCO roles.
Professional soldiers who complete this level of training become eligible for the Basic NCO Course, upon successful completion of which they get promotion to the rank of sergeant and join the NCO ranks of the Serbian Armed Forces.
