Minister Vučević attends PASARS firing demonstration at Pasuljanske Livade range
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević attended today a firing demonstration showcasing PASARS anti-aircraft self-propelled artillery-missile systems at the military complex Pasuljanske Livade, as part of routine SAF personnel training.
Minister Vučević was welcomed by Assistant Minister of Defence for Material Resources Nenad Miloradović, PhD, Head of the Development and Equipping Directorate of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Brigadier General Milan Popović and Chief of Staff of the Army Command, Brigadier General Zoran Dragićević, who informed the minister about the training in the use of these anti-aircraft systems that has been conducted at Pasuljanske Livade so far.
Having seen the precision and proficiency of the crews, Minister Vučević spoke to the members of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Military Technical Institute and congratulated them on successfully hitting all aerial and ground targets. The modernization of the PASARS anti-aircraft self-propelled artillery-missile system has been very successful so far, the Minister of Defence said, adding that the development of this complex combat system that can effectively counter and provide defence against next generation weapons such as drones and UAVs will continue.
Today’s live fire demonstration showcased PASARS firing tracer grenades at ground targets, as well as firing at aerial targets with Strela 2-M missile system and programmable 40 mm gun ammunition.
