Field Training for Soldiers Serving Military Service
This week, training areas of the Serbian Armed Forces near Sombor, Valjevo and Leskovac, are the sites of stationary camping for the soldiers who started serving their military service in June.
This form of field training is carried out at the end of the first training phase and it is held for the soldiers of all specialities. The goal is to test and apply in practice the acquired knowledge and capabilities to perform basic combat tasks in defence and assault, and for the soldiers to adapt to the life and work in field conditions.
During several days of training, the soldiers practised tactical actions and actions of soldiers in combat from orientation, surveillance, camouflage and movement in the battlefield to the selection and crafting covers for action and protection. They also executed all firing from infantry weapons envisaged by the programme.
After they return from the field, the soldiers are to undergo a training evaluation, during which their ability to perform basic individual tasks will be assessed, and then, they will be assigned to specialist training centres, where they will be trained in the military occupational specialities for which they were recruited.
This generation of soldiers as well, demonstrates high motivation and dedication to training and the realization of all other tasks. Many of them have already expressed their wish to become professional soldiers of the Serbian Armed Forces, for which they can apply while still serving their military service.
