Advanced Sniper Training in Serbian Armed Forces
The Army Training Centre is conducting the advanced specialised training for soldiers and officers for sniper duties in Serbian Armed Forces units.
The training objective is further advancement of knowledge and skills in operating sniper rifle in all weather and terrain conditions, both individually or in pairs, and the psychological preparation of the snipers to neutralise targets in combat.
The training is attended by members of the Serbian Armed Forces who achieve the best results at firing and who have previously underwent basic sniper training. They have successfully mastered all the training content envisaged by the programme both for firing training and tactical training, with the focus on camouflage, stealthy movement, selection and arrangement of shelters for action and execution of firing tasks.
During the training, the snipers were tested in terms of their actions under stress and under strain, their physical capabilities, speed of reacting when applying tactical actions, and firing competence.
Upon successful completion of the training, the soldiers and officers are to be sent to their units, where they will apply the knowledge and skills gained, and continue further training in order to achieve and maintain the highest level of competence to execute sniper specific tasks in the Serbian Armed Forces.
