President of Republic of Cuba Lays Wreath at Monument to Unknown Hero on Avala
Today, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević and Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović, President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel y Bermúdez laid a wreath at the Monument to Unknown Hero on Avala, in the framework of his official visit to the Republic of Serbia.
Having laid the wreath, the President of the Republic of Cuba wrote the following in the Memorial Book:
“On Avala mountain, in front of the Monument to Unknown Hero, we pay our respect on behalf of the people and Government of Cuba to the warriors who fell defending the peace and freedom of the Serbian people. The example of their resistance is an inspiration for the peoples’ fight for independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and the right to self-determination.
Today, President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić received President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel y Bermúdez, which was followed by plenary talks of the delegations of Serbia and Cuba led by their presidents.
