Field Training for Attenders of Basic Non-Commissioned Officers Course
Attenders of the Basic NCO Course have successfully completed the stationary camping at the training area “Peskovi” near Požarevac.
This form of field training, which comes at the end of the fist module of the Course, provides an opportunity for the attenders to practically apply and test the military specific knowledge that they gained in order to command a squad in conditions similar to a real combat situation.
In the course of several-day stay at the training area, the future non-commissioned officers of the Serbian Armed Forces carried out live firing from infantry weapons, and, in the role of squad commanders, they performed different tactical and firing tasks in combat actions. Excellent results achieved in life firing and successful execution of diverse tactical suppositions are a confirmation of the good quality of the training conducted so far, and a proof that the objective of the first module of the training has been fully accomplished.
After the completion of the first module, they will undergo a specialist training within their branches or services, which will last 12 weeks, and this will be followed by the final segment of the training – a three-week internship in Serbian Armed Forces units.
The Basic Non-Commissioned Officers Course lasts six months, and it is attended by selected soldiers who have previously completed the Leadership Course, and who have earned the opportunity to become non-commissioned officers of the Serbian Armed Forces owing to the work and results that they achieved performing soldiers’ duties in their units. Upon the completion of this training, they will be promoted to sergeant rank and assigned to suitable NCO duties in the Serbian Armed Forces.
