Contract signed, project to increase energy efficiency at MMA can start
The contract allowing the commencement of the project to increase energy efficiency at the Military Medical Academy was signed today at the said institution.
The contract was signed by Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Đedović, and the project implementation consultant Stefano Ferrari, the managing director of the German management4health GmbH company. It is one of the most important projects to increase energy efficiency in public buildings across Serbia.

This project, Minister Đedović said, will not only save energy and reduce the greenhouse gases emission, but will also improve the quality of services provided to patients. According to her, the studies done for this project show that there is considerable room for improvement in the use of energy in public buildings, especially in healthcare.
Head of the MMA, Colonel Miroslav Vukosavljević, said he was delighted with the commencement of the project that would greatly improve the workplace environment for the staff and the treatment of patients, save all types of energy and help preserve the environment.

Before signing the contract, the delegations took a tour of the premises and systems that will undergo energy rehabilitation as part of this project.
The project entitled “Energy efficiency in public buildings and renewable energy sources in the district heating sector - energy rehabilitation of the Military Medical Academy" consists of three phases, and it is envisaged that all phases will be completed over the next six years.
