Reserve component undergoes routine training

Reserve component members are currently doing routine annual training in the Army and Training Command units.
The purpose of the training is to help reserve soldiers refresh the knowledge they obtained while performing their military service, familiarize themselves with the modern principles of employment and learn how to work with new SAF weapons.

The training includes infantrymen, artillerymen, armoured soldiers, engineers and logisticians. Depending on their military occupational specialties, they are being trained to conduct tactical actions on the battlefield and to use branch-specific weapons in combat, or to perform logistical tasks, primarily including the re-conservation and repair of motor vehicles, medical care and food preparation.

In parallel with soldier training, a reserve officers’ course is underway, preparing them to command subordinate tactical units.
The reserve component training is carried out in accordance with annual plans, the needs of SAF units and approved resources. It helps improve the soldiers’ and officers’ proficiency and enhances the overall ability of the Serbian Armed Forces to perform their missions and tasks.
