Minister Vučević lays wreath in memory of Sava Erdeljan - fallen hero of Paštrik
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević laid a wreath today at Zrenjanin’s Gradnulica Cemetery, on the grave of Senior Sergeant 1st Class Sava Erdeljan, a hero who died on this day in the Battle of Paštrik, during the 1999 NATO aggression.
During the wreath-laying ceremony, Minister Vučević was accompanied by brigadier generals Goran Momčilović, Dragan Arsenijević and Zoran Nasković.Wreaths were also laid by the members of Sergeant Erdeljan’s family, Mayor of Zrenjanin Simo Salapura, representatives of the City of Sombor and numerous associations.
Senior Sergeant 1st Class Sava Erdeljan was born in Zrenjanin on March 6, 1961. He finished secondary military school, infantry branch, in Sarajevo. He served as 1st Company Commander at the 1st Motorized Battalion, 549th Motorized Brigade.
