Reserve soldiers undergo training in SAF units
Reserve soldiers are currently undergoing their branch/service-specific training in Army and Training Command units.
The activity is taking place in accordance with the reserve’s annual call-up and training plan and is designed for them to refresh the knowledge they acquired while performing their military service, and learn how to use the assets currently in service at the Serbian Armed Forces.
Reserve infantrymen and artillerymen are being trained to use their branch-specific weapons in combat, and reserve logisticians are being taught to operate and perform maintenance of weapons and military equipment, carry out general logistics tasks, and provide medical care and transportation services.
In addition to providing the reserve soldiers with the branch/service specific knowledge, the training program also includes weapons, close-order and physical training, with an emphasis on firing practices using personal weapons.
This type of training, which is conducted in cycles throughout the year, helps the reserve improve their skills in performing their tasks individually, but also contributes to the overall combat readiness of the SAF field force.
