SAF tankers undergo routine training
Members of the T-72 MS Tank Battalion, whose field training is underway this week, have carried out their firing training at the "Orešac" automated range near Vršac.
For several days, the tank crews practiced combat actions, carrying out fire missions by day and night in line with predefined incidents.The emphasis was on providing additional training to young officers, NCOs and professional soldiers who have been recently assigned to units. Very good and excellent scores they achieved during firing practices speak best of the quality of training and the crews’ proficiency in performing assigned missions.
Firing practices performed in SAF armoured units are an important part of preparation for live fire training and participation in tactical exercises, and help professional members maintain and improve their skills and contribute to the overall combat readiness of the unit.
The T-72 MS Tank Battalion is an organizational unit of the Army equipped with the latest tanks in service at the SAF. It is intended for armoured and anti-tank warfare and can be used both independently and alongside other units in joint action.
