Professional training for authorized defence planning personnel
Professional training for the authorized personnel of defence planning entities, organized by the Defence Obligations Department, Human Resources Sector, started today at the Guard Club in Topčider.
The aim of the training is to help the persons in charge of organizing, planning and carrying out defence preparations at the defence planning entities gain new and expand their theoretical and practical knowledge. In this way, the trainees are preparing for the practical application of laws and bylaws pertaining to the defence preparations planning.
The training was attended, among others, by the representatives of the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue - State Secretary Ivan Bošnjak, Assistant Minister Nina Mitić and Acting Assistant Minister Biljana Marković, as well as the State Secretary at the Ministry of Family Welfare and Demography Mirko Janić.
Assistant Minister of Defence for Human Resources Siniša Radović said that the provision of professional training to the authorized personnel was an essential prerequisite for successful defence planning.
- Providing a secure environment is getting increasingly complex and requires full commitment. In the times to come, the military response will not be the only necessary one, and the altered nature of challenges, risks and threats requires good civil defence planning at all levels. With the complementary response from the military and civil defence, we are building capacity for an effective defence of the Republic of Serbia and the protection of its national interests - said Assistant Minister Radović. Although the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces are in charge of this task, he said, it is only with the involvement of all institutions, entities, organizations and local self-government units that the state can respond to all challenges.
Assistant Minister Radović emphasized that the Defence Obligations Department, which was in charge of this task, had done a lot over the previous years and that it was ready for the time to come.
- We expect this new training model that the Human Resources Sector has opted for and that is being organized for the second time, to yield good results, to provide comprehensive information and to give an opportunity to all those who have not yet prepared documents in this field properly, to do so. You will get the necessary knowledge and information and acquire the skills needed for optimal defence planning, as well as an opportunity to exchange positive experiences you have had so far - said Assistant Minister Radović.
General and specialist training are being provided by expert lecturers from the organizational units of the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government.
