International course at CBRN Centre
International course on CBRN protection is underway at the SAF CBRN Defence Centre in Kruševac.
The trainees are members of armed forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, China, Hungary, the United States, Slovenia and Spain. This five-day course is an opportunity for them to hone their skills in this field and learn how to use protective equipment against the effects of CBRN weapons and decontaminate people, facilities and soil.
The training, which is being delivered by certified CBRN Centre instructors, utilizes devices and equipment used by the SAF. In addition to theoretical lectures, the programme includes practicals performed in a laboratory and at “Ravnjak” Training Ground, giving the trainees an opportunity to learn how to use specialized instruments and calculate the reliability of protective assets and equipment when responding to a CBRN attack.
The fact that members of the armed forces from four continents are attending this course speaks best of the Centre’s worldwide reputation, and is confirmation of the quality of CBRN training conducted in the Serbian Armed Forces and the competence of the instructors.
