Students of Advanced Security and Defence Studies go on study visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina



The 12th generation of students pursuing Advanced Security and Defence Studies have been on a study visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
While in Sarajevo, the students visited the presidency and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Representatives of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, EUFOR – Althea and NATO Headquarters Sarajevo briefed the students on the responsibilities and organization of the national and supranational military organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.   

During their visit to Sarajevo, Chairperson of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović hosted a reception for the students of the Advanced Security and Defence Studies, and informed them about the state of affairs in Bosnia and Herzegovina and its courses of action.
Head of “Field Marshal Radomir Putnik” School of National Defence, Colonel Mićo Suvajac, thanked the hosts, and the study visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina continued in Banja Luka where the students of the Advanced Security and Defence Studies had the opportunity to see the equipment, capabilities and engagement of security forces of Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Students of the Advanced Security and Defence Studies visited Republika Srpska’s Ministry of the Interior Training Centre, where they were received by the Minister of the Interior Siniša Karan and the Police Director Siniša Kostrešević. They also had the opportunity to visit the department responsible for providing security to persons and facilities, the gendarmerie and the helicopter unit.
Speaker for the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nenad Stevandić hosted a reception for the students, which was also attended by Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in Banja Luka Miloš Vujić and advisor to the President of Republika Srpska Siniša Vidojević.  

The study visit ended with a tour of the “Kozara” barracks.
