Member of Serbian Armed Forces Most Successful National Athlete of Belgrade Marathon



The most successful national athlete of the 36th Belgrade Marathon is Sergeant Đuro Borbelj from the First Army Brigade.
  He ran 42.2 km long distance in 2 hours 42 minutes and 57 seconds thus taking the fifth place in the overall ranking, leaving behind numerous professional athletes from the country and abroad.
 
More than 150 members of the Serbian Armed Forces took part in the most numerous sport competition in the country whose winners are Chakib Lachgar from Morocco in male competition and Feyne Gudeto Gemeda from Ethiopia in female competition.
  The excellent result of Sergeant Borbelj at 36th Belgrade marathon represents the continuation of successful performances of members of the Serbian Armed Forces at numerous national and international competitions where they worthily represent our armed forces and state.
