Chief of General Staff meets with Commander of Hungarian Defence Forces

The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, talked today to the Commander of the Hungarian Defence Forces, Lieutenant General Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi, who is paying a visit to our country.
During the meeting held near Bačka Topola, they discussed regional and global security situation, the results of bilateral military-to-military cooperation and opportunities to further improve it. They also spoke about the engagement of the Hungarian contingent with KFOR.

The conversation helped interlocutors gain a proper understanding of a wide range of issues relevant to the armed forces amidst present-day security challenges, risks and threats. It was established that military-to-military cooperation between Serbia and Hungary was broad, intensive and based on mutual confidence and friendship, reflecting an upward trend in overall bilateral relations between the two countries. They singled out joint exercises, pre-deployment training for multinational operations and cooperation in the domains of aviation and CBRN defence as segments of cooperation largely contributing to the enhancement of the two militaries’ operational capabilities.

General Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi’s visit to the Republic of Serbia rounds off tomorrow with him participating in a traditional sports meet for SAF and HDF generals and senior officers. The idea behind this event is to strengthen mutual trust and good neighbourly relations.
