Combat crews’ training

Last week, the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade’s battalion armed with the Pantsir S1artillery-missile system conducted tactical drills for the crews of this modern combat asset.
These drills are an important part of practical training undergone by professional members of the battalion, preparing them for combat engagement and basic technical maintenance of the combat systems, and increasing the entire unit’s ability to protect SAF troops, important facilities and territory from aerial reconnaissance and attacks.

The combat crews trained at the exercise area for several days, covering all elements of tactical use of the Pantsir, in an effort to master tactical procedures such as emplacement and switching the system into different levels of combat readiness. In this way, both individuals and teams improved their skills and response time, which is vital to neutralizing aerial threats.
The Pantsir S1 air defence artillery-missile system is one of the most modern systems of its kind. Its integration into the air defence system has resulted in greater firepower and manoeuvrability of the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade and overall ability of the Serbian Armed Forces to control and protect the airspace of the Republic of Serbia.
