Military policemen undergo counter-terrorism training
Members of the Army Military Police units are undergoing counter-terrorism training in the areas surrounding their peacetime bases.
As this training segment focuses on the most complex combat tasks that can be assigned to SAF MP units, it is given special attention. It is designed to help military policemen and units to prepare adequately for high-risk tasks when conducting counter-terrorism operations.Following specially designed scenarios, the trainees are refining the tactics and procedures used for blockading and destroying a terrorist group using manpower, military working dogs and special vehicles. The emphasis is on teamwork and coordinated action of all unit members, which is vital for completing these demanding assignments successfully.
Counter-terrorism training is only one of the many training segments MP units go through throughout the year. It helps professional members reach the required level of training needed for the effective execution of assigned tasks in all conditions, in accordance with the law, other regulations and commanders’ orders.
