Armoured soldiers undergo skills assessment
Soldiers whose military service stared in December 2022 and whose initial training period lasts for four months, have undergone skills assessment at the Army Training Centre in Požarevac.
This group includes M-84 tank drivers and gunners and M-80A IFV gunners and riflemen, whose specialized training lasts a month longer due to its complexity. Over the past two and a half months, during the daytime and at night, they have been taught to carry out tactical actions and missions and they have executed all scheduled firing practices using hand arms and armoured weapons in preparation for the coming assessment.
During the two-day skills assessment, soldiers carried out tactical missions as part of crews, showing outstanding skills and competence in handling specific assets and equipment.
During the rest of their military service, soldiers will be applying their knowledge and skills serving in armoured and mechanized Army battalions, where they will undergo collective training and be actively involved in carrying out daily assignments.
