Army Signal Battalion conducts tactical exercise
This week, members of an Army Signal Battalion have conducted a tactical exercise at multiple locations outside the unit’s peacetime stations.
The exercise was conducted using real-life tactical scenarios, aiming to evaluate the battalion’s ability to prepare for and provide telecommunications and IT support as well as to protect communications and information transfer during Army operations. Unit members practiced a series of tactical actions and procedures in the field, with an emphasis on setting up and relocating IT and telecommunications centres. They practiced sounding the alarm signal, marching, selecting and setting up the position, camouflaging, setting up the centre’s components and establishing IT and communication services.
The soldiers have achieved very good and excellent results, which indicate that officers, NCOs and soldiers of this battalion have conducted the exercise professionally and are fully capable of executing the most demanding tasks under the assigned mission.
The planning, organization and execution of such exercises improves the unit’s ability to provide good and timely information transfer for the Army Command, and to ensure appropriate protection of confidential information and minimum risk of enemy counter-action.
