Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou lays wreath at Monument to Unknown Hero on Mt. Avala
The President of Greece, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević and Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, laid a wreath today at the Monument to the Unknown Hero on Mt. Avala, as part of her official visit to the Republic of Serbia.
Having laid the wreath, the Greek president signed the memorial guest book, citing the poem “Thermopilae” by the Greek poet Constantine Cavafy:“Honour to those who in the life they lead define and guard a Thermopylae”.
The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has hosted the President of Greece, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, who is paying an official visit to Serbia from March 27 to 29, 2023.
