International Course on Biological Weapons and Toxicology
The CBRN Training Centre of the Serbian Armed Forces in Kruševac has carried out an International Course on Biological Weapons and Toxicology.
The five-day long professional advancement was attended by members of armed forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Egypt, Italy, Hungary, United States of America, Slovenia, Montenegro and Spain.
In the CBRN Training Centre, they gained new knowledge on biological weapons and toxicology, and practised the use of the equipment for the protection against the impact of this weapons, then biological detection, identification and decontamination. In an improvised laboratory made for the requirements of the course, they practised to respond to terrorist acts in circumstances when biological agents have been used.
The training was conducted by instructors from the CBRN Training Centre and toxicology experts from the Military Medical Academy and Nuclear Science Institute “Vinča”.
The successful realisation of the course and great international interest in the participation in the training at the CBRN Training Centre further reaffirm the status of this unit as a regional and partner training and education centre and they reconfirm the high quality of training carried out in the Serbian Armed Forces in the field of atomic-biological-chemical defence.
