Minister Vučević meets with Egypt's Chief of Staff and Minister of State for Military Production
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević held separate meetings with the Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Osama Askar, and Egypt’s Minister of State for Military Production, Mohamed Mostafa, at the International Defence Exhibition “IDEX 2023” in Abu Dhabi.
During the meetings, it was confirmed that bilateral defence cooperation was very good, but that there was room for improvement. It was also highlighted that cooperation in the domains of military economy and military technology was a particularly developed segment, and that the cooperation was regularly reviewed and annual plans were coordinated by the Mixed Military Committee, which is to meet in Cairo this year.Following his meeting with Minister Vučević, which discussed military-to-military cooperation, General Askar, accompanied by his delegation, visited the Serbian Ministry of Defence-“Yugoimport- SDPR” stand at the arms fair.
At today’s meeting with Minister Vučević, Minister Mostafa confirmed Egypt's commitment to further advancement of military economic and technological cooperation in the coming period.
