Minister Vučević visits 1st Army Brigade
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević visited today the units of the First Army Brigade stationed at Novi Sad’s “Tvrdjava” and “Jugovićevo” barracks.
Minister Vučević was welcomed by Army Commander, Lieutenant General Milosav Simović, and was briefed about the state of affairs in the brigade and its upcoming tasks by the commander of the First Army Brigade, Brigadier General Zoran Nasković.
Minister Vučević talked to the members of the First Army Brigade, confirming that they were ready, trained and motivated to carry out every task assigned to them.
During his visit to the “Tvrdjava” barracks, Minister Vučević was shown the logistics battalion’s workshops, as well as the technological process of preserving weapons.
At the “Jugovićevo” barracks, the Minister of Defence observed professional members and soldiers performing their voluntary military service train using BRDM-2 armoured reconnaissance vehicles, Strela S-10M self-propelled Air Defence missile systems and the simulator used for the training purposes of Strela operators. He also observed signal units' training using telecommunication systems and scouts’ training, featuring a raid on enemy formations.
