Mechanized units undergo training
Professional members are currently undergoing critical weapons training at the training areas and Army mechanized battalions’ peacetime locations.
Armed with M-80A IFVs, these units are the main manoeuvring and striking force on operations carried out by the Army, alongside tank battalions.Since the purpose of this armoured amphibious vehicle is to field a force and provide it with fire support, the training currently focuses on joint tactical drills carried out by the crews and mounted infantry squads. Afterwards, battalion members will conduct tactical exercises and live fire drills in order to demonstrate their ability to carry out tactical and fire missions in offensive and defensive operations.
The reliability and effectiveness of M-80A IFVs have been confirmed in various conditions on multiple occasions. By doing regular training, their crews and mechanized battalion infantry squads acquire greater proficiency in carrying out infantry, antipersonnel and anti-armour operations.
