Infantry soldiers undergo specialized training
Over the past few days, infantry soldiers whose military service started in December 2022 did stationary camp at the SAF training grounds near Požarevac.
This segment of individual specialized training follows the training program designed for soldiers who are performing military service to prepare for the execution of defensive and offensive combat missions, as well as to adapt to living and working in field conditions.
For several days, soldiers practiced the tactics and procedures used in combat such as map reading and land navigation, observation, camouflage, movement on the battlefield, and building fighting and protection covers. They also conducted all scheduled firing practices using infantry weapons. The most challenging part of the training was doing a tactical obstacle course where the soldiers had the opportunity to show their knowledge and rapid response skills needed for carrying out tactical actions and defensive and offensive fire missions.
What awaits the soldiers upon return from the field is the final part of their individual specialized training and assessment of their ability to carry out tactical missions and use personal and collective infantry weapons in combat, followed by their transfer to SAF units for collective training.
