Tank units undergo regular training
This week, members of the Army battalion armed with T-72MS tanks have conducted collective training and tactical drills on the training grounds and exercise area in the vicinity of Niš.
Training in this unit is conducted in cycles throughout the year with the aim of maintaining and improving professional members’ level of skill in using tanks in combat and performing anti-tank action on Army operations.
In this training phase, tank crews are practicing defensive and offensive tactical actions and are learning to drive a tank safely on various types of terrain and to efficiently use tank weapons. In the coming period, they will have tactical exercises and live-fire practices where they will demonstrate in the field their tactical and weapons skills needed for the execution of specific missions.
Soldiers who are performing their military service in armoured units, to which they have been assigned after successfully completing individual training in Training Command Centres, are actively involved in the training program.
Continuous execution of a wide range of training activities and practical training ensures a high level of combat readiness in armoured units which, thanks to their high mobility and strong firepower, represent the main manoeuvring force of the Army and the Serbian Armed Forces in general.
