Training with modernized air defence system
Intensive combat training with the modernized 40mm "Bofors" anti-aircraft system is being conducted at the Army brigades’ AD artillery-missile battalions.
In line with the training program and required standards, “Bofors” crews are learning how to perform a wide variety of tasks in protecting Army units on combat operations and defending important facilities and installations from aerial attacks.
The focus is on practicing tactical actions and procedures in countering UAVs, attack helicopters, cruise missiles, low-flying aircraft and in engaging ground targets.
Modernization of the 40mm "Bofors" anti-aircraft system has significantly improved the protection of the crews, their mobility and speed of preparation for fire action. This has also increased the overall manoeuvrability and firepower of the Serbian Armed Forces’ AD artillery-missile units and their ability to rapidly and efficiently carry out mission-specific tasks on offensive and defensive operations.
