Air Force and Air Defence NCO Course
The fourth Air Force and Air Defence Non-Commissioned Officer Course has started at the Training Command units.
The course participants are young men and women who have been selected through public competition. The course lasts for six months, during which time they will train as aviation ordnance persons, aircraft technicians, radar and missile system operators and NCOs performing general AF duties.
The training is divided into four modules. The first module will be taught at the Training Command centres and the remaining ones at the Air Force and Air Defence units. The future NCOs are currently being taught basic soldiers’ duties, after which they will focus on acquiring leadership and other necessary skills that every non-commissioned officer should have. Finally, they will undergo specialized training for specific duties and do internship in SAF units.
Candidates who successfully complete the entire training program will be admitted to professional military service as SAF non-commissioned officers and promoted to the rank of sergeant.
Upon completion of this course, the Serbian Armed Forces will receive a new generation of young NCOs trained to perform command and specialist roles at the Air Force and Air Defence units.
