Tijana Bogdanović takes third place at World Senior Taekwondo Championship
A member of the Military Academy Sports Unit, civilian Tijana Bogdanović, has won the bronze medal in the -53 kg category at the World Senior Taekwondo Championship held in Guadalajara, Mexico. By taking third place among 43 strong competitors, Tijana has once again shown that she belongs to the world’s taekwondo elite.
Putting up an excellent fight in the quarterfinals, Bogdanović defeated her Thai opponent, Phannapa Harnsujin, 2-0, and qualified for the semi-finals, where she lost 2-1 to Makayla Greenwood, an American taekwondo practitioner in an extremely uncertain fight. Tijana Bogdanović took third place and a bronze medal by reaching the semi-finals.
After winning bronze at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, this is another notable success for Tijana at a world championship.
The World Senior Taekwondo Championship will be held in Guadalajara, Mexico, from November 13 to 20, 2022.
