Minister Vučević and General Mojsilović meet with representatives of associations cooperating with Serbian Armed Forces
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević and Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, have held a meeting with representatives of associations cooperating with the Serbian Armed Forces. The meeting was held in the Guard Club’s assembly hall today.
The representatives of associations fostering the spirit of freedom and preserving the military traditions were briefed about the current national and regional political and security situation and the most important activities and further development of the defence system.
Minister Vučević greeted the meeting participants on behalf of the President of the Republic and the Supreme Commander and the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
– It is a great honour and privilege to be with you today and to have the opportunity to discuss and define the forms of cooperation in the upcoming period – said Minister Vučević.
In his address, the Minister of Defence talked about the national and regional political and security situation. He emphasized that vital national interests required unity.
According to the Chief of the General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces attach great importance to cooperation with organizations whose projects are aimed at fostering the spirit of freedom and preserving patriotic values, military traditions and military profession, and developing and promoting disciplines applied in the military.
The representatives of the association also had the opportunity to present to Minister Vučević and General Mojsilović their views and opinions regarding future cooperation, but also regarding matters of importance for the defence of the country.
The Serbian Armed Forces are carrying out projects of mutual interest with 37 associations, unions of associations, clubs and other organizations that bring together more than 100 thousand citizens of the Republic of Serbia. Cooperation includes commemorations of anniversaries of significant historical events and personalities, organizing expert meetings, forums, assemblies, round tables and conferences.
