Aleksandar Kukolj runner-up at Baku Judo Grand Slam
A member of the Military Academy Sports Unit, civilian Aleksandar Kukolj, won a silver medal at the Judo Grand Slam which ended today in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
Kukolj achieved an excellent score against a very strong competition, winning the title of a runner-up in the -100 kg category which comprised 32 competitors.
Kukolj scored four victories at the tournament, securing a place in the finals where he was defeated by Azerbaijani judoka Zelim Kotsoev.
A total of 366 competitors from 61 countries and five continents took part in the Baku Grand Slam.
After the bronze medal won at the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam two weeks ago, this is yet another success of our judoka.
