“In this segment of the basic individual training, they have been practically adapted to the life and work in field conditions and they underwent training for the execution of defensive and offensive combat tasks They were practising tactical actions and procedures in combat, from orienteering, surveillance, and masking to constructing covers for action and protection, and to firing from infantry weapons”, said Minister Stefanović.
In the continuation of the military service, they will undergo an evaluation of their competence to perform individual tasks, and then, they will be reassigned to centres where they will be trained for their specialities of the branches and services they were recruited for.
“We are grateful and proud of them for having decided to serve their country in this manner. We have tried that they lack nothing in these six months of their military service in terms of conditions, from the accommodation and meals to salary, but it is up to them to show that they are able to overcome all challenges in the field and master new skills and knowledge that will certainly be useful later in their lives. Of course, we expect that a great number of them, like it was the case in previous years, will embrace the military profession and decide to build their career in the Serbian Armed Forces”, said Minister Stefanović.
