Training of Soldiers in River Flotilla
The Danube river near Novi Sad is where training is carried out for the soldiers serving voluntary military service of “June 2022” intake. Additional training is also carried out for professional soldiers who have been admitted recently into the River Flotilla units.
The soldiers embarked on river ships are being trained for the duties of signal service and crews of on-board artillery weapons, and for the execution of collective tasks in operations on waterways.In line with the training programme, the members of artillery acquire knowledge and skills in operating and maintaining on-board 20mm and 30mm anti-aircraft guns, while the member of signal units practice sending and receiving signals for ship movement and communication in group sailing. In this period, the training is conducted on the anchorage point, so that the soldiers could be fully prepared for the performance of tasks on their battle stations which they are about to face during the sailing and on the planned firing.
The training for the soldiers serving military service and professional soldier in the River Flotilla is carried out throughout the year. Additional training, regularly performed in all Serbian Armed Forces units, is carried out for professional soldiers for higher duties within their branches or services, which enhances the overall readiness of the unit.
