Activity “Military Doctor in the Village” in Municipalities Preševo and Bačka Palanka
This week, in the framework of a project of civil-military cooperation “Military Doctor in the Village”, medical teams of the Serbian Armed Forces performed medical examinations of the inhabitants of villages Bujić and Cerevajka in the vicinity of Preševo and vilage Peštin in the municipality of Bačka Palanka.
This project, implemented in collaboration with the Red Cross, local health centres and communal administrations, is aimed at providing medical assistance to inhabitants of villages with difficult access to healthcare system.
During the activity, the military doctors and medical technicians performed preventive medical examinations in village infirmaries, and they also performed house calls for the patients with impaired mobility or immobility, unable to come to the infirmary.
Like it was the case in the past, members of the Serbian Armed Forces were cordially greeted by the local population, who yet again expressed great gratitude to the Serbian Armed Forces for the assistance it has been rendering whenever required.
Within its third mission, the Serbian Armed Forces implements numerous projects of civil-to-military cooperation in all areas of the Republic of Serbia, by which they show that they are always at disposal to the citizens, not only when it comes to the defence of the country, but when it is necessary to assist the most deprived persons.
