New SAF team in EUTM Somalia

This week, Serbian Armed Forces have replaced their contingent deployed in the European Union Training Mission in Somalia.
Our contingent, which will spend the next six months in the area of operations, includes a staff officer serving as the mission’s chief of medical corps and a medical team that will be responsible for providing primary health care to members of international forces stationed at Mogadishu airport.

They have replaced their colleagues, doctors and nurses who successfully performed all their tasks providing the ill and injured with preventive health care and treatment, thus demonstrating the SAF medical corps’ professionalism and competence in the best possible way.

The Serbian Armed Forces have participated in the European Union Training Mission in Somalia since 2012, and so far more than 100 Serbian doctors and nurses have served in this mission, working in the command and the medical team.
