CBRN units’ training

Members of the 246th CBRN Battalion’s nuclear and chemical accident protection unit are going through collective training in the "Car Lazar" barracks and at the "Ravnjak" military complex in Kruševac.
This is an important part of professional members’ training, which aims to improve their proficiency in providing CBRN protection to SAF troops during operations.

During the training, unit members practice actions and procedures used in a contaminated area, from setting up a laboratory in field conditions, detection, proper collection and analysis of potentially contaminated samples, to taking protective measures in the event of a nuclear or chemical accident. The training process uses mobile radiometric and chemistry laboratories, modern detectors and insulating equipment, which ensure full protection of personnel when working with contaminants.
The 246th CBRN Battalion’s specific tasks require continuous training and a high level of skill, so that unit members are ready to respond quickly and efficiently whenever circumstances dictate.
