Liturgy and prayer service for final year cadets
A liturgy and a prayer service have been held in the Church of St. Sava today to mark the graduation of Military Academy cadets (142nd and 143rd classes) and the cadets of the Military Medical Academy’s Medical Faculty (8th class).
The liturgy was served by the Bishop of Hvosno and the elected Bishop of Western Europe, Justin, alongside the Military Academy military chaplain, Major Nemanja Petrović, and the priests of the Archdiocese of Belgrade and Karlovci.
At the end of the liturgy, Bishop Justin conveyed to the future officers Serbian Patriarch Porfirije’s blessings and congratulations on their graduation and the approaching promotion to second lieutenants.
- The church and the military are two pillars that our people, our homeland and all the people living here can rely on and count on - Bishop Justin said.
Besides the future officers of the Serbian Armed Forces, Commandant of the Military Academy, Colonel Srđan Blagojević, PhD, Head of the Secretariat, Colonel Srđan Duvnjak, Head of the Dean's Office, Colonel Aca Ranđelović, PhD, and Cadet Brigade Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Milan Končar attended the liturgy.
