Minister Stefanović congratulates military school students on winning medals



Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, has congratulated the students of the Military Grammar School and Secondary Vocational Military School who have won seven medals in individual and three in team competition at this year's Serbian Junior Small-Bore Shooting Championship in Novi Sad.
“Bravo, champions! My heartiest congratulations, boys and girls, we expected nothing less from you than the shiniest medals! Great effort and dedication have always been the key to success!”, Minister Stefanović wrote on his Facebook page.

A 51st Class student at the Secondary Vocational Military School, Luka Milošević, won three medals at the Championship, two golds and one silver, whereas the "Akademac" Shooting Club, which consists of students attending military schools, was the most successful club in the competition, having achieved the highest total score.
 
Milošević has become Serbia’s first champion in the standard pistol discipline, which was included in this competition programme for the first time this year, whereas the silver and bronze medals were won by the Military Grammar School students, Vladimir Ćurčin (46th Class) and Damjan Eskić (49th Class), respectively.
  
Milošević was once again the most accurate shooter in the sport pistol discipline, whereas Eskić took third place. Also, the "Akademac" shooting team was triumphant in the overall standing, and they took second place in the free pistol event. In the same event, Milošević won another medal, a silver one this time.
 
On the second day, junior women's 25m sport pistol event was held. Helena Miščević, a 46th Class student at the Military Grammar School, took third place in the individual competition, whereas in the team competition, she earned the title of Serbia’s team champion alongside Zorana Glišić, a 48th Class student at the Military Grammar School and Jovana Stanković, a 51st student at the Secondary Vocational Military School,.
