Visit to Military Facilities in Vicinity of Belgrade

Today, Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović visited several military facilities in the vicinity of Belgrade as part of regular activities of reviewing the progress achieved in the improvement of the organisation and functioning of Serbian Armed Forces units.

Among other, General Mojsilović visited a location planned for the construction of new facilities for housing materiel and equipment for the preparation of air defence firing positions, as well as capacities of the Central Logistics Base for housing and storage of quartermaster movables.

The Chief of the General Staff took the opportunity to express his satisfaction with the fact that after several decades of diminishing, disbanding of units and stagnation, the Serbian Armed Forces are in a position to build facilities for modern combat systems and establish new garrisons and units, owing to the full support of state leadership and record investments in the system of defence. This further enhances the combat readiness and strategic deployment of the Serbian Armed Forces, which is the task entrusted to us by the supreme commander. He pointed out that on that occasion he saw first-hand that superior officers, soldiers and civilians employed in the Serbian Armed Forces, discharge their tasks diligently and responsibility thus unequivocally showing that they are the greatest treasure and power of our armed forces.
During the visit, the Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces was accompanied by Air Force and Air Defence Commander Lieutenant General Duško Žarković and Head of Logistics Directorate (J-4) of the General Staff Major General Srđan Petković.
