MP units undergo sniper training
Professional soldiers and officers performing sniper duties in Army MP Units have conducted tactical drills and live firings at "Orešac" Training Ground near Vršac.
During the activities which lasted for several days, snipers did tactical and weapons training, the focus being on the marksmen practicing how to execute specific MP tasks.This training aimed to check if military policemen were competent to execute sniper fire missions, independently or in pairs, in different tactical/weather/terrain conditions, using modern optronics, improvised and standard camouflage equipment.
The demonstrated accuracy of fire and efficiency in different situations are proof of the Army MP Units’ ability to execute a wide range of assignments and activities during operations.This training, which is delivered in cycles throughout the year, is important for maintaining and increasing the professional members’ high level of competence and the SAF MP units’ combat readiness.
