Centre for Military Medical Institutions “Belgrade” marks its anniversary

A ceremony to mark the Day of the Centre for Military Medical Institutions “Belgrade” and its 30th anniversary has been held today at the Military Medical Centre Slavija.

This institution was established on 9th June 1992 as a primary and secondary care health centre for the military insured and their families.

State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Branko Živanović has congratulated health workers on their anniversary and praised them for their hard work and effort, as well as readiness to push past their professional limits in order to provide security to their patients.

- As it enters its 40th decade of existence, the Centre for Military Medical Institutions “Belgrade” still considers one thing imperative besides health care and health insurance, to provide preventive healthcare on a vast territory, including not only our city but the entire country. The greatest interest lies in maintaining the level of patient satisfaction and surpassing the achieved results - said State Secretary Živanović.

On this occasion, Head of the Military Health Department, Brigadier General Dr. Radivoje Anđelković, presented letters of commendation and appreciation for significant work results to the members of the Centre for Military Medical Institutions "Belgrade".

Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Predrag Radonjić, Deputy Head of the Centre for Military Medical Institutions "Belgrade", congratulated the employees on the 30th work anniversary of that institution and stressed the importance of a large team that is always up to the task.

- They say that every day is a holiday for a healthy person. On behalf of the Centre for Military Medical Institutions, it is my honour to welcome you to our 30th anniversary celebration. It seems to me it was only yesterday that many of us started making our careers here and climbing the stairs to success in life - said Lieutenant Colonel Radonjić, adding that he was very proud of the great atmosphere, teamwork and high degree of social and professional responsibility.

In addition to health care and insurance, the Centre for Military Medical Institutions, whose area of responsibility covers two thirds of the territory of the Republic of Serbia, also provides preventive healthcare. The Centre also performs all types of medical checkups and specialist examinations of conscripts and candidates for admission into the Serbian Armed Forces.
