”Tara Safari“ – new attraction offered by “Tara” Military Establishment

This year, the "Tara" Military Establishment has decided to add one more attraction to its tourist offer - the unique "Tara Safari" for people who love active holidays. The trip offers them the opportunity to see numerous panoramic views and other hidden areas on the mountain that are difficult to reach without a guide. The trip includes four organized tours by bus and military TAM 110 and TAM 150 trucks. Last weekend, the guests of "Omorika" hotel, accompanied by the director of the "Tara" Military Establishment experienced the new "Tara Safari" and confirmed that it was the right way to get to know the hidden beauties of the most welcoming Serbian mountain.
Presenting hotels “Omorika”, “Beli Bor” and “Javor”, the Director of the Military Establishment, Ljupko Ćirović, said that this season, as in previous seasons, a lot had been done to improve the tourist offer.

– Besides our traditional slogan "Tara is the place where beauty begins", this year we have a new slogan "Let our family be healthy" and in that regard, a unique program called "Tara Safari" has been designed. Our recreation workers and promoters are tasked with encouraging hotel guests to spend their holidays doing outdoor activities, going on walking tours and full-day and half-day excursions, participating in sports events and numerous other activities that improve our health and fill us up with positive energy, says the director of the Military Establishment.
One of the tours includes a visit to the locations Sokolac - Lađevac - Rača Monastery either by hotel bus, or a military truck. The group that decides to go on the tour by bus, travels from Bajina Bašta to Rača Monastery, and after the tour of the monastery, they go on a 2-3 km walking tour upstream along the Rača River to the Lađevac spring situated on the right bank of the river, whose water has healing properties. When they cross the bridge, on the left bank, the groups change their means of transport so that everyone has the opportunity to feel the challenge of riding on an off-road vehicle, which continues through the forest to Sokolina, and the Sokolac viewpoint. After this, guests return to the hotel by way of Račanska Šljivovica and Hajdučka Česma.

The tours offered by the "Tara" Military Establishment allow visitors to visit the most famous viewpoints such as Sokolac, Osluša and Oštra Stena, but there is also a "Safari Tour" designed as a combination of a ride and a walk in the mountains. This tour takes the guests to Mokra Gora and Drvengrad, including the visits to Iver, the Gavran Peak, and Tara’s highest peak - Zborište with an altitude of 1,544 metres.

"Tara Safari" offers the opportunity to visit two more destinations, Mitrovac and Perućac. Alongside the shoreline of Lake Perućac, the visitors can reach several viewpoints on Mount Tara - Janjač, Sjenič, Bilješka Stena and an area of exceptional beauty Predov Krst. These destinations were visited by the guests of the "Omorika” hotel last weekend.
