Special Operations Battalion “Falcons“ conducts exercise
The Special Operations Battalion "Falcons" has conducted an exercise at the SAF Simulation Training Centre in order to train the unit’s command in planning and organizing a counter-terrorism operation.
This computer-assisted simulation exercise was an opportunity to practice tactical actions and staff procedures in launching an operation, and perform daily analyses of staff officers’ and non-commissioned officers’ involvement in the process of military decision-making.The knowledge of the principles of engagement of special operations units and assets, joint action with the Army and Air Force and Air Defence, and cooperation with Gendarmery, Red Cross and other civilian actors was also checked.
Computer-assisted simulation exercises are an important form of practical training for SAF commands. Such exercises are an opportunity for staff officers and unit commanders to improve their skills in planning and executing combat operations, using the minimum amount of material resources.
