3rd MP Battalion conducts exercise “Thunder 2022”
The 3rd MP Battalion Command has been conducting a computer-assisted exercise “Thunder 2022” at the Serbian Armed Forces Simulation Training Centre this week.
Using a computer simulated operational environment, the exercise aims to examine the unit’s capability to plan, organize and launch a counter-terrorism operation following a detailed scenario.
Training activities are also checking the knowledge of rules governing the engagement of the 3rd MP Battalion units and equipment, its interoperability with Army, Air Force and Air Defence units, and cooperation with other defence system and civil society entities.
Computer-assisted exercises are an important form of practical training conducted by SAF commands. Such exercises provide an opportunity for staff officers and unit commands to improve their skills in planning and executing combat operations, spending the minimum material resources.
