Basic NCO Course attendees in stationary camp

The 19th Class attending the Basic NCO Course, organized by the “Sergeant Milunka Savić“ NCO Training Centre, are in stationary camp at the “Peskovi“ training area near Požarevac.
It is a special form of field training during which course attendees acquire practical knowledge and skills necessary for carrying out their first NCO assignments in the Serbian Armed Forces units.

At the training area, the future NCOs are taught to command a section, execute general tactical and fire missions, conduct basic individual and general military training and perform live firings using infantry weapons.

After this training phase, the future NCOs undergo branch or service-specific specialist NCO training, followed by internship in the Serbian Armed Forces units.

The Basic NCO Course is the final segment of training undertaken by professional soldiers before being promoted to their first NCO rank. It is attended by selected soldiers who have completed the Leadership Course and who have proven themselves by achieving excellent work results in their units. Upon the completion of the training, they will be promoted to the rank of sergeant and assigned to appropriate non-commissioned officer posts in the Serbian Armed Forces.
