First Army Brigade reconnaissance units undergo training
This week, members of the First Army Brigade reconnaissance units have conducted training in carrying out cold weather combat actions.
The reconnaissance units have covered specific training content in the mountains, including orientation and day and night movement on unfamiliar terrain, preparing their own food in the nature and making shelters, to reconnaissance patrol tactical procedures in the depth of enemy dispositions.
The activities, which lasted all day, included the practice and evaluation of skills in gathering intelligence, response in case of enemy contact and masking accommodation installations, movement and snow trail.
The cold weather training is one segment of training regularly conducted by SAF reconnaissance units so as to maintain and improve their reconnaissance skills and skills in gathering intelligence in all conditions.
