Training with 262 mm M-87 Orkan missile systems
Members of the Serbian Armed Forces Mixed Artillery Brigade are conducting training using 262 mm M-87 Orkan missile systems at the unit’s locations in Niš.
The goal is to provide additional training to professional soldiers who have recently been assigned to the unit as missile system operators. At the same time, young officers are improving their skills in delivering training in providing fire support to Army units. Soldiers are being trained for the combat use of the Orkan missile system and are practicing taking up firing position, target acquisition, calculation of firing elements and performing artillery firings.
Professional soldiers regularly undergo additional training in all Serbian Armed Forces units, in order to be trained for more than one role within their branch or service, thus improving the resilience of the Serbian Armed Forces.
