Gama helicopter flight training
Members of the 98th Air Brigade are undergoing regular flight training using Gama helicopters at the "Morava" airport and in the wider region of Kraljevo.
The goal of the training is to maintain and increase the pilots’ level of competence to perform flight tasks and use the helicopters in combat in all conditions.The training programme includes the execution of formation flights at different altitudes, practicing take-off and landing on unsecured terrain, and elements of combat and aerobatic training, followed by more complex training content and air to ground fire training.
The Gama attack helicopter is an armed variant of the Gazelle helicopter and its basic role is to engage ground targets, providing fire support to the Army forces.
